Market Maker Case Builder well-received at McMaster University
HAMILTON, Ontario - Nov. 25 - Market Maker Case Builder was used in two trading classes
(Undergraduate Commerce and MBA) at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario; the software was well
received by the students who preferred the Market Maker Platform to other software platforms and
designated Market Maker Case Builder as more realistic.
The Trading in Financial Markets (Undergraduate) and Trading and Risk Management (MBA) classes
developed practical skills in trading financial securities with a focus on risk management and return
enhancement. The Market Maker software was used to supplement the students' training by giving
them an opportunity to trade in a realistic market environment and compete with each other as well
as virtual traders, such as specialists, market makers, and propriety traders. The students
were given the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in trading and trading strategy, derivatives
and derivatives strategy, fundamental and technical analysis. The students completed a survey
at the end of the term and reported that Market Maker platform provided them with a better grasp of
the financial markets than other trading software available to them at the trading floor.
